RIP
Fuck!! RIP, I was pulling for him the whole tournament.
Does anyone remember who he was lined up to fight at Battlecade 2 in Montreal?
RIP
RIP.
Too bad the UFC didn’t have weight classes back then.
I dont remember this fight just the Remco fight. Was it removed from the UFC tapes? I was too poor for ppv but I rented and copied all the tapes when made available. Watched them over and over so I could swear I know every fight like the back of my hand.
RIP
IIRC this was an untelevised prelim match maybe at UFC 2. The early ones had a few unaired fights.
Ok, you all had me doubting my old school knowledge. I do remember the Mezger Paulson fight. I think they added it as a bonus.
Now that I think of it, this wasn’t a prelim match but the first part of the 16 man tourney format. The first matches just didn’t air.
I didnt even know the first ones were 16 man. They robbed us. Anyways, at first I thought Weit was gonna destroy Remco given it was Muay thai vs a fat karate dude. Then boom, sweet toss and some thudding elbows to Remco gently holding his ko’d brain while Big John made us his mind to stop the fight.
(Edit: I remember the fight a bit different lol. He gently held his arm but BJ did stop the fight on time.)
I gotta rewatch these. Again, RIP to Orlando.
We’ll never forget seeing him getting his peanut head elbow into oblivion by the giant Remco. Rip
An OG. Pardoel was a nighmare matchup for him.
Definitely a guy who would have done better with weight classes.
RIP legend and all around tough hombre
He was signed to fight in the second Extreme Fighting, the one that was almost cancelled where the cops put some of the fighters in jail. That would have been in his own weight class but I don’t know the opponent.
After the match Pardoel said he didn’t think he would win against Weit.
btw I met and talked to Pardoel and he by far is the nicest and most humble of all the UFC fighters I encountered.
