Had to sleep downstairs for three weeks, couldn’t make the walk upstairs.

He stepped into K1 with just his boxing. Mushashi totured him. At least Remy ended it quick. Japanese were douchebags for putting him against those guys his first kickboxing fights.

After Mushashi destroyed Ray Mercer’s legs they told him his next fight would be someone he could beat. They ended up calling him right before his flight over and told him there was a change in plans and he was going to be fighting Remy Bojansky, LOL.

In his fight with Tim they had a gentleman’s agreement to not kick or go to the ground. Tim’s first strike was a kick and you can see rays face give a what the fuck dude response and then knocks him right out

Ray talks about how him and Tim hung out the days prior to the fight.
Ray said he was just here for the money, Timmy thought he was going to fall.
Would see him and say “almost time old man” Ray said he kept that in mind and just sold to him he was an old man just here for money.

Ray and Lennox Lewis were in a near dead heat in their fight. He also gave Holyfield a very tough fight and butchered a very tough and powerful Tommy Morrison. Iron Mike wanted no part of Merciless Ray Mercer. He was a tough bastard.

Also Matthew Saad Muhammad & Roberto Duran.
Saad Muhammad was several years past his prime & suffering from the effects of a long, hard career & didn’t know what he’d signed up for when the promoters put him in with a shootfighter. Saad Muhammad thought it was going to be a work, got his arm snatched & tapped out.
Something similar happened to Duran who showed up with a big belly ready to put on a show, but his opponent worked really stiff & tore up his shoulder. Then, a couple of months later during a boxing match with Pat Lawlor, Duran aggravated the injury & had to retire in his corner, losing the fight via TKO.

It would have been fun if they were able to do a K1 tpurnament where 4 hvwt boxers(Mercer one of them) were each paired with a top kickboxer like Hoost or Aerts .. see how well the boxers would do
