RIP Scott Bloomquist

Per Deux maybe? Anything in topics/posts?

Spent the day listening to interviews with people that knew him and it’s sounding like suicide.

Dude. When I read the article I was like, ā€œI hope this isn’t a suicideā€¦ā€

You still over there? Did you find him?

I’m not 100% if that is the dude associated with the F1 fantasy team but he’s one of the few F1 guys that didn’t make the transition.

I got shitcanned on Monday

I signed in for the first time a couple days ago after hearing about this all on Reddit. I haven’t been booted yet but then again I haven’t posted in months either.

I erased the app, go to the F1 thread and look for his posts.

RIP to Scott.

Thats what i got too

Check that dudes posts and see if they line up with what I’m thinking. He seemed super knowledgable. Even had beefs with people, haha. I know his profile is private but maybe searching his name or something in posts will bring some interesting stuff up.

Should be able to go to the F1 thread if it hasn’t been nuked and click his name and itll say ā€œ86 repliesā€ or whatever click that and it should be just his post with ā€œhiddenā€ in between

It’s def not the same guy. Bloomquist was a 60 year old Luddite that lived in the garage.

I did find Pardeus posting a couple days ago on the audiophile thread.

Well then I’d love for him to make the leap and get back in the F1 thread!

I’m also not 100% that that user is associated with that F1 fantasy account either. So it could still be another user. I just know there was a dude talking about racing and I looked that Bloomquist dude up and saw he had a Wikipedia and raced at tracks my uncle raced at.

Nice. Never got to see him race unfortunately.

One of my uncles raced dirt track in Michigan in the 80s and 90s so I’ve been to a bunch of races but didn’t retain much other than I love sprint cars, haha.
