Also, if you watch the video I posted, you can see with the context that Matt is just giving his opinion of the decision since it was a split decision.
Thereās no reason to get all suspicious of his motives there. He pretty plainly just thought that GSP won.
I remember in the lead up to one of his main events, maybe the 2nd GSP fight, his ātrainingā was jumping off of cliffs into the ocean. Meanwhile GSP was running 10km, doing the iron cross with the Olympic team and flipping tires in the parking lot.
Itās the reason why prime BJ would get blown out of the water by many others in the top 10 of LW: he didnāt respect the need for cardio. He had the skill and toughness, but wasnāt willing to put in that work.
Close, but GSP clearly won the fight. He won the 2nd and 3rd rounds in a three-round fight. Also, BJ didnāt ābeat the fuck out of Georges in the 1st round.ā
The judge that scored it for BJ was Cecil Peoples.
The GSP fights have nothing to do with BJās legacy at LW for me. Itās really hard to put where he places all time there. Was amazing hands down. Itās difficult to rank the top five/ten.
Someone had an argument for Gomi. He had a hell of a stretch. BJ beat him. Diaz did in Gomiās prime too.
Edit. No matter what the official decision was because of the drug test Diaz submitted Gomi.
