I have heard this many times that you can’t. Also the awkward punch to the stomach that the girl threw also leads me to believe that aswell as that was what I seen a few times in Karate tournament vid.

Kyokushin only allows punches to the body. Kicks are allowed to the head, body and legs.

Kyokushin established the standard for modern knockdown (full contact) karate. Many styles are derived from or related to Kyokushin, including Ashihara, World Oyama, Enshin, Seidokaikan and Shinkyokushin.
Some styles, such as Okinawan Kempo or certain American gloved karate styles, practice full-contact fighting but are distinct from Kyokushin.
