I’m not sure there’s anybody that actually wants to see her back…

And furthermore, there’s no way you can let her compete in the sport again after all her talk about post concussion issues. You’re opening yourself to a lawsuit and headaches down the road, especially when the comeback doesn’t go as well as she planned.

I have met Kayla at Judo seminars, and she is the real deal. I think her transition to MMA has been a lot better and she handled it better than Rhonda.

Yes, different temperaments but they are both great at Judo. When Kayla was at seminars she was relatable.

Ronda Rousey might not be fighting at UFC White House, but that doesn’t mean she’s sitting idly on the sidelines.

It’s been almost nine years since Rousey last competed in the octagon and she’s kept busy in retirement, raising a family, spending time as a headlining act for WWE, writing a second book, and making the occasional film, television, and video game appearance.

Rousey is unlikely to ever fight again, though she recently told The Lapsed Fan Podcast that she’d “never say never” about a possible return. On Sunday, the former UFC bantamweight champion shared a clip of the progress she’s made in training from put on the gloves back on eight weeks after the birth of her second child to now.

If she comes back within the next year, she’ll be 39 years old and a full decade since her first retirement.

Outside of Kayla hulk-smashing her, what compelling, realistic return fights are there for Ronda that would really move the needle? Maybe people are excited at the prospect of Ronda vs Pennington or Pena.

WMMA is pretty uninteresting, and most of the potential marquee fights for Ronda are against fighters who are either retired or no longer in the UFC.
