In a new video posted on his YouTube channel, Chael Sonnen stressed that he believes the sport of MMA left Rousey behind almost a decade ago (h/t MMAJunkie).
“There is just this idea that when somebody goes out there and they break a sweat or they used to do this sport and they dangle this idea of a return,” Sonnen said on his YouTube channel, “but then an adult steps in the room and goes, ‘Hey, it’s not a return. You were forced out.’ It’s not a retirement when they throw your ass out of the cage.
“There’s never a day that you want to be done with this sport. You will wake up and find out one day that the sport is done with you, with three exceptions: Georges St-Pierre, Khabib (Nurmagomedov) and Jon Jones. They all had belts, they all left on top, and they were all wanted and welcomed to stay, and they made their own decision that they were not going to.”
Rousey has admitted to suffering from mental health issues following her losses under the UFC banner. While she found success early on with her WWE run, she also didn’t exactly leave the wrestling industry gracefully. Rousey recently criticized WWE for booking her in a program with one of the company’s most popular female stars, Alexa Bliss.
Rondas mom hates Edmond, I’ve seen clips where she’s almost at a loss for words trying to describe her hatred for him. Said that he saw dollar signs, he wouldn’t give her the time of day when she first showed up. I saw it in a fan made YouTube doc, can’t remember which one though. The guy holding mitts is a new guy.
They just need to match her against the right people. She’s not gonna win unless she can run in there and win in 45 seconds like she used to do. I said earlier in the thread and I’ll say it again, she could definitely beat Pena or Pennington. I’m sure there’s girls out of the top 10 that could beat Rondas ass too
It doesn’t matter, everyone can talk shit but when the day comes everyone will be interested to see what happens when she fights. When her fight is up next, no one is going for a piss break or to go make a sandwich. Win or lose people will tune in, every time she fights

Ronda has a statistical zero % chance of beating Kayla in her first fight after a long layoff. But she could probably beat another semi-retired feature type fighter. Maybe Meisha, but if I was her I’d try to get a warm up with someone like Clarissa Shields or Gina.
It would be something to look forward to, whether you like her or hate her. There’s not a lot to look forward to with the UFC these days.
And it definitely won’t be at the White House. Trump mocked her after the Holly KO. But it definitely looks like she’s considering competing.
Meisha doesn’t make sense. People would just say she’s gonna beat her for a third time. Kayla doesn’t make sense (for a first fight). Gina isn’t gonna happen, I think it’s been way too long. She’s older than Ronda. If they’re smart, it’ll be Pena. She can’t punch and she’s gonna run straight at Ronda like she runs straight at everyone else she fights. Pena wants a takedown, Ronda flips her on her head and wins.
Or they could bring Holly back for Ronda to get a rematch. I think that would also be smart
I kind of doubt that. She’s an Olympian and has been around top shelf competition for a really long time. I agree that she’s likely a very loyal person.
