Disagree. I think it was a bad idea for Jorge. It happened to work out well, but if he gets taken down off of it everyone is saying âhow retarded is it to throw a flying knee at Ben askren who just wants to double leg you?â

Well itâs not a strategy I would have employed at the time if I was an MMA fighter instead of being an anonymous coward on the internet!
I was just saying that due to Askrenâs predictable nature Jorgeâs plan had a higher percentage of success compared to jumping and throwing a knee at Ronda who was virtually still standing upright when Cat did it.

Tell me how Pena (ranked 1) and Pennington (ranked 2) beat Ronda, even today. No one is denying sheâs a one trick point. But what is Alex Pierra? How many tricks does he need? What about Conor? Dude canât grapple and lost to Nate fucking Diaz because of it

Din Thomas must be a very gullible person if he actually believed that made up bullshit excuse.
She lost because she faced much better fighters who could neutralize her best weapons in a way that her previous weak opponents could not.

Holly winning was shocking tbh. Specially that Tara used to throw her around the gym and her judo isnt even close to Rondaâs level.

I did think Holm had a chance to eventually beat Ronda in time but that the fight was too early for her before she could develop effective defence on the ground and in the clinch against her Judo.
Boy was I wrong!

Remember Miesha Tate was originally supposed to get a shot at Ronda after she beat Jessica eye which made it 4 wins in a row.
Holm only had 2 very unconvincing wins in the UFC at the time so to give it to her instead gave me the impression that they rushed this fight so that Ronda could beat her before she develops much better grappling defence.
I definitely felt Holm wasnât ready for Ronda yet which is why the UFC rushed the fight hoping to get her out of the way.
Was so surprised to see her get up from the first takedown I definitely underestimated her.

To me, it looked like all she saw was Rousey. She used everybody she fought as a sharpening tool for when she finally got Ronda. It made for some boring fights because she fought conservative and super calculated. But when she finally got in there with Ronda, you see the pay off. She played the long game as beautifully as it could be played and won a title over the most dominant woman to ever compete at the time. Good on her.

125âers should be calling out Ronda. Valentina, Rose and even Dern (115 lbs) lbs should all be trying to get that money fight. Gives Ronda a size advantage and all of those girls have a name
