Worst is lead based paint and epoxies. The epoxies are fucking horrible.
Shit, even latex paints can fuck you up. Me and another guy sprayed the interior of a house years ago with some “new product” that you would spray 2 heavy coats and wouldn’t need to do a skim coat to smooth everything. We had special respirators and all, he went out for a week sick and I followed right behind, felt like the flu, shit sucked. Thread sounds like BS but I’ve been there first hand.

when I was little I broke thermometers to play with the mercury prolly ate so much paint chips etc. splains alot prolly. Yeah heard the cool painter guys cancer was prolly because of the stuff he particularly used to beat his brushes. rip him.
Some dude I know just was doing some epoxy coating over concrete for a new business and it wasnt vented at all he had an experience.

Some jobs you just end up eating shit one way or another. Need ventilation! Luckily I have employees that don’t mind doing anything, so I get to pick and choose what jobs I get to do. Luckily last epoxy job was outdoors on a billionaires bobbles lol!
