Strickland May Have Just Avoided Shoulder Surgery Because of Rogan

It appears Sean Strickland will not need surgery on his injured shoulder after all and the UFC middleweight champion owes part of that to none other than Joe Rogan.

In case you missed it, Strickland is coming off a massive upset win against Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 328 earlier this month to re-claim his 185-pound title. It was an incredible performance by Strickland — especially since so many people had counted him out — but it didn’t come without consequences.

After his UFC 328 victory, Strickland revealed that he had severely separated his shoulder in the lead up to his clash with Chimaev. A dew days later and Strickland confirmed he had a “Type 2 AC separation,” which included a partial tear to his rotator cuff. It’s an injury that would typically require surgery and come with an extended layoff to recover.

Fortunately, Strickland is already exploring alternative options to surgery and that includes a stop over at a clinic recommended by Rogan. On Friday, the UFC middleweight champion took to social media to share his visit to the rehab center with a video captioned, “Fixing the muscle tear without going under the knife.”

This wouldn’t be the first time Rogan has offered up some valuable health advice.

Check it out below and let us know if you think Strickland will make a quicker return to the Octagon than originally expected!

stem cells?

Reports on shoulder injuries are worthless. Reporters don’t know what they’re talking about and they get their info from athletes who don’t know what they’re talking about
