I could have just been in an off mood or something.
Like the corn field scene in Casino for example…
I remember it being kind of tough to watch because it is so brutal.
Last time I watched it, it was just meh.
Obviously the idea of what happened is still brutal. But the scene itself seemed to have lost something.
And the beginning when they are narrating over the movie to set everything up… It just felt rushed and a little choppy to me.
I used to think Goodfellas vs Casino was a close call.
Now I think Goodfellas is noticeably better – even though it has the narration too.
I think maybe I just watched them too damn many times.

I love Godfather 2 and its like 2 movies back-to-back so you get 2x Godfather stuff lol
But the 1st movie is so damn perfect, if you ever need to rate a movie and need a natural 10 that’s your measure

The only part of The Godfather that I don’t like is how Luca Brasi is portrayed. In the book you know why even The Don os wary of him but in the film he never comes across as some unstoppable psychopath.

Translates to both are fucking movies. Goodfellas doesn’t need a sequel and that’s where Godfather is forever stained. Part 3 is an embarrassment.
Part 3 gets a bad rap.
It had a lot to live up to.
Goodfellas doesn’t have a sequel because it’s a true story and homeboy snitched and went into witness protection.
