If they took more risks against each other they would get more praise and less criticism. Yes Garcia is going to be called overrated when he has all the talent in the world but doesn’t put the effort in and loses to guys like Ramiro. Rolly is a C tier talent, let’s be real. He was dropping his left all night.
A great boxer would’ve exposed that. Unfortunately Ryan isn’t that guy mentally.
Haney is the same. Has all the talent in the world, but lacks the mental fortitude. Plus he’s always coming in 25 pounds rehydrated and fights like an amateur.
Tank takes zero challenges because he can be out boxed. He got exposed by Martin.
Teofimo got exposed by Kambosos.
If these guys were losing to top tier fighters then I would say… hey you just lost to a better boxer. But for the most part they are losing to guys they should be destroying.
Ryan needs some confidence builders, his problem is mental. He thinks he’s better than he is. He’s a low IQ plodder with a great left hook and above average hand speed.
In Shakur’s case it’s not his fault. He calls out fighters a lot. Loma/Tank. People don’t want to fight him because he is highly skilled, and has low name value. Risk/reward.
Having defending him, I will say from a fan’s pov he can be a boring fighter to watch.
Bakole seems to be fighting too close the Parker KO. Ajagbe fell off my radar some time ago and I dont remember him smashing guys but I dont think this will end well for Bakole.
Haney is a victim of the modern age. In the past Haney would have stayed in the amateurs another 4 years trying to get an Olympic spot, became stronger and more skilled… He also would have fought a string of soft touches after getting knocked out, to get his confidence back. Bill Haney is Devins toughest opponent
