Volk hasn’t won a fight at lightweight since 2016, and lost his last two attempts. He shouldn’t get a third consecutive LW title fight.

I wouldn’t mind seeing it, but Justin would beat the living hell out of Volk. Not a good matchup for him at all.
Justin said he already fought twice this year and won’t be fighting again until 2027. Not good for the LW belt.

Yep and I’m wondering if he will even want to continue fighting after the new year.
He has nothing left to prove. Unless he’s being a huge payday… no reason for him to fight anymore. He’s made a lot of money, seems good with it and ok to retire. I think it will take a mega fight to even bring him back. Which maybe he’s waiting to see what happens with Max and Conor.

I’m a big Volks fan and I don’t want him attempting to go up a division again, especially against a much more powerful striker. He doesn’t really have KO power in his own divison, Gaethje would walk through his shots and put his lights out.
