On theos podcast nate said josh was trying to get a fight with him. Thats when he went into shit talking him. Basically just said hes not relevant as he is now a podcaster and not a fighter anymore. And he only wants to fight big names that are good when he fights them. Wanted to come back to the ufc and fight charlie olives, ufc wanted him to fight connor again. Thats why he passed and went with mike perry. Because connor hasnt fought in however long and is coming off a broken leg.

Could be a coping mechanism which also allowed the Diaz brothers to become as good as they were. Neither of them ever “lost” a fight in their minds.
To a degree most of the time Chuck in his mind never “lost” either. He just “got caught”.
