This video of Tyson training for Friday got my PUMPED

Unless its rigged this won’t happen with the bigger gloves and shorter rounds.

The way Holyfield went down against Vitor makes me think Tyson won’t be able to absorb any real shots.

I think tyson gets knocked out in first or second round. So sad, I hope im wrong. He looks awful.

Jake is just gonna turtle at the beginning and let Mike rip into the shell.

The problem is not who I think is gonna win, the problem is if Jake lets Mike win 3 of the first 4 rounds they are totally gonna be cooking the Draw Decision.

He is gonna have to literally carry Mike (holding him like a baby the second half of the fight) if they get past the 4th though and hope Mike doesn’t get a heart attack.

Mike Tyson is gonna be making 30M for this clown show so it would not surprise me he has a greed to letting Paul brutally KO him later in the rounds.

Damn, I can’t really blame him then. He blew all of his 300 million dollar fortune in his youth. He’s gotten some back so I can see him doing this to secure his retirement.

It’s because OP knows absolutely nothing about Boxing.

And I’m not saying getting in the ring like SweetViolentUrges (not sure what his sn is here) or me, OP hasn’t even WATCHED the fookin sport lol

But these short clips are making squares bet Mike Tyson and it shows because 75% of the bets currently are on Mike. Vegas is gonna eat this weekend. Again.

Mike has made some really good money with the Cannabis industry, the problem with an uneducated guy like him is that he totally also adopted the pothead lifestyle and he smokes tremendous amounts of the herb.

Apparently he was supposed to stop before camp started but then in an interview he said he might get stones for the fight.

Hey man at 30M payday he is gonna do whatever Mike wants to do like he has always done except I just hope he doesn’t fucking die in the ring.

That last Netflix lead up that came out last night looked pretty bad for Tyson. Love for him to win, but he looks old and tired in the training and sparring clips. Hope I’m wrong, but Paul should win pretty easily.

Also it’s only 2 minutes rounds and 8 rounds total…16 minutes max if it goes that far.

The problem here is every time they go sit down their heart rates …

nvm lets just say its a LOT more complicated than just seeing it as fighting 16 minutes (which by the way is a LONG arse time for a senior citizen)

Two minute rounds might be Tyson’s saving grace.

Damn. Tyson looks really great for 50…but he looks 50.

After seeing that pic I’m concerned for Tyson.

He might get embarrassed.

Perry had zero head movement. Edmond is not impressed.

Hes almost 60. At 50 maybe he’d have a shot.

The fact they aren’t showing more than 2-3 shots than cutting to video does not give me warm and fuzzies.

He’s pushing close to 60…

I don’t think he’s going to win, I want Tyson too, but reality doesn’t show that. I think he gasses after a few big shots that Jake eats and Jake starts hitting him hard and the ref stops it before he goes down.

No extra charge.

You guys are out of your fucking minds.

Tyson will lose by KO in the first round, and it won’t even be close.

He’s old and slow and hasn’t fought professionally in a fucking lifetime.

I just hope he doesn’t get hurt…

Mike gets a pass

One thing since I’ve seen several people say the same thing now “the trainer” “annoying guy yelling”… do OGers really not know who Rafael Cordeiro is? The head coach at Chute Boxe in the 2000s: trained Wanderlei & Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida, Rafael dos Anjos, Fabrício Werdum, and plenty of others. Point being, he’s not some yes man bum that was picked up to whisper sweet nothings in Mike’s ear. I also just assumed most people here would know who he is, but maybe I’m showing my own old fart status with that.

Lotta good discussion & observations in this thread and I appreciate the insights.

One thing I hadn’t thought about until @DeepSeaRat mentioned Paul looking soft in the middle is that he usually fights around 185-190 (had to look it up because I’ve only ever seen clips of this clown and his circus fights). He was 185 in his fight with Nate Diaz in August of last year. He had to put on 40 pounds to get up to where Iron Mike was for most of his professional career, 225. It will be interesting to see what (if any) effect this has, one guy is fighting at a weight far heavier than he ever had before, against a far more dangerous opponent than he ever has (even with the age, aches & pains, and questionable cardio this is still true) who is accustomed to fighting at this weight or slightly heavier.

But for fucksake Mike…do NOT get stoned before the fight. Watch the video of your pigeons that were killed and go in there and do what you could always be counted on for: a legal homicide.

Maybe, but you can’t blame us old fucks for wanting a real life version of the 2006 “Rocky Balboa” movie to play out.
