Kennedy went on to explain why he was dishonest with UFC fans and fellow men and women in uniform. To his credit, he owned up to mistake, and vowed to do better in the future. Time will tell if that promise is enough to appease his naysayers.

Dude always gave off douche bag vibes to me. Had no idea he was only active for a few years. He lied, thatās messed up and dishonors the guys who really earned that award. Glad he owned up to it for whatever reason.
I will say Iāve been around enough guys with true and real combat experience, stuff Iāve been there for personally. Their recollection is completely different than mine. Everyone focuses on different things and memories are from our perspective. Iād do after actions with guys and you could ask 5 guys, involved in the same gunfight, and each would have a different story they would swear was true.
Not what Kennedy did but I can see how guys āembellishā sometimes, itās not always embellishment, itās legitimately how they remember it. Combat is chaotic, you get tunnel vision and only see whatās directly in front of you. One guy with a rusty rifle that didnāt work can easily turn into one guy with a suicide vest, a machine gun and was about to blow up the building you were in.

He lied for years about having medals of honor that he doesnāt have, having purple hearts he doesnāt have, wrote a book claiming he murdered women and children in combat that he never did, fought Iranians to death with his bare hands, made his boss sound like a bitch, and so very much more that was all fiction passed off as reality.
