This all comes back to Jones and how long Jones sidelined him in his prime. He did a good job playing it off at the time about how he didn’t even care or need Jones. But with that long wait and then to have this fight end the way it did, he can’t hide his frustration any longer. He thinks he’s the best and wants recognition but has kinda been cheated without ever hanging lost. Can you imagine how frustrating this would be?
He truly believes he’s the best in the world and wants recognition but has been waiting for almost 3 years now with no fight even lined up to prove himself.
To make matters worse half the fan base thinks he lost, even though he was blatantly fouled. Wining is not a good look, he just needs to get back In there asap and prove himself.

I think the UFC would be able to punish people after the fight. Maybe a ref makes a mistake or misses something. Maybe the eye poke was worse than they initially thought. There needs to be the ability to retroactively level punishment on fouls
Needs surgery, possibly on both eyes. He ain’t coming back for a while and he also said his health is more important. Which meant he might not come back depending on what the doctors say.

I never called him a liar. I used to make fun of some fighters fo rolling around after a seemingly small eye poke until I got eye poked. I was rolling around like a bitch and I thought I had a detached retina. Turned out to be a detached viteial membrane.

This is something that gets me. There are all kinds of possible damages to the eye, but when it first happened everybody was just like, “it didn’t get scratched. he could still fight.”
