No question Topuria (17-1) is one of the best fighters in the world and he’s probably got a good shot at reclaiming his crown at some point down the line, but let’s also remember this is the same fighter who threw a victory party for defeating Justin Gaethje before they actually fought, something he fails to address in his new reel.
No credit to Gaethje, either.
Whether or not UFC books an immediate rematch remains to be seen but it sounds like Gaethje is more interested in this top lightweight contender. In addition, we still don’t have a definitive timeline for Topuria’s return following multiple fractures suffered at the hands of “The Highlight.”
