Seems like they aren’t letting anyone go for double champ because they don’t see anyone being the type that can truly move the needle, so they don’t want anyone holding up the division.
As much as Charles has surpassed all the early expectations about how his career would go, he’s never had that aura of invincibility about him and always gets rocked in his fights. I wouldn’t be surprised either, but I’m rooting for him.

Same could be said about Oliveira getting a title shot with his 1-fight win streak. Arman is ranked higher, has a win over Charles, and is on a five fight win streak.
