Why cant they just bring this back? Instantly boost ratings. Kids love numetal.
We gotta get rid of Goldberg and the stupid gladiator!
UG 2012
We need the Gladiator and maybe a drunk Mike Goldberg!
UG 2026
Was always a Goldie fan. Mauro on the other hand…
I made a thread back in the day when Goldberg was removed from a random ppv. Thread title was “I only pay full price for Goldberg”.
Watching old clips on YouTube, you realize not one of the guys today brings that’s excitement. And I like ALL of the commentator’s today (I’m not picky). They just aren’t as good as him
When I first got with my wife she had a coworker that had a crush on her. I used to wait till he was getting out and cruise the parking lot slumped way down low blasting this song
He got the picture
I totally agree. Especially when the TUF boom started, it was like Mike and Joe were 2 other fans in the room with you and your friends. They were legitimately excited about the sport. It was so different than boxing or team sports. Now it feels like the broadcast team would be on HBO boxing, just playing it safe and protecting their own brand.

America

All we need at the beginning is Strickland and Giat fucker trash talking at the beginning
I’m still antiGoldie and pro Gladie.
UFC needs to realize this is their NBC NBA song.., ABC MNF into… NBC Olympic intro.. you don’t abandon.. you embrace greatness

I’m glad Goldie is gone. Been watching BYB bareknuckle lately and every card he reminds me why I couldn’t stand him when he was with the UFC. “So you wanna be a bareknuckle fighter?!” GTFO with that corny bullshit. I’ll take Anik over Goldie any day.
While I dont want the gladiator/song intro these days, it was pretty perfect for the time. I never liked the song but it went well with the highlights. It certainly did a good job of hyping you up for the show to begin.
Damn is this real? If not, why not lol

Mauro is substantially more knowledgeable, articulate and well prepared than Goldie. I never minded the Gladiator although I knew it was cheesy. Goldie grew on me after he left with the benefit of hindsight and nostalgia.
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
