UFC quality since the paramount deal

They will have cross trained a little but an Olympic wrestler, boxer, judoka, TKD ect won’t have much cross training out of the gate. If someone is claiming to be a boxer and hits people with gogos, they simply won’t be brought back. Over time they will cross train and improve and that’s when you can start putting them on the main cards against established names.

Do you think MVP has enough names that will bring a crowd out now? If not, what difference does it make? A single day tournament makes it so you don’t need big names. It’s at least interesting.

Yeah I don’t like the “halftime” analysis at all, makes it feel like a regular sport

That would be cool if they scouted guys straight out of national championships in arts like TKD, Kyokushin, Judo, etc…. And did style vs style matchups.

They more than likely have cross trained at some point but I doubt they would have all the different skills of an MMA fighter.

Most modern martial artists are smart enough now to know that cross training is the best way to train for all scenarios. Most guys that train in a vacuum do so because they are competing and looking to be the best in that particular discipline.

The Chuck and Tito shorts… UFC lost the ability for fighters to gain recognition because everyone looks the same

They had the best cards back in the late 2000’s imo. Only about 1 a month or so. Knew every fighter on the card their background etc.
