Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be back inside the Meta Apex for the first time in over six weeks to stage UFC Vegas 120 later tonight (Sat., Aug. 8, 2026) LIVE on Paramount+. It will be the promotion’s first event from inside its “Sin City” venue since it underwent a laundry list of renovations.
Tonight’s UFC Vegas 120 fight card isn’t the most stacked on paper, but it has the chance to deliver across the board. Outside of an enticing main event showdown between lightweight veteran Mateusz Gamrot and rising contender Quillan Salkilld, UFC’s return to Vegas will feature young talent like Ty Miller, Alexia Thainara, and Manoel Sousa. It’s not the most star-studded affair, but those events usually produce the best action.
Luckily, UFC is doing more than just hosting fights Saturday night. The promotion is also rolling out the new-look Meta Apex that has undergone significant changes over the past month and a half. This includes additional seating, gathering areas, and vastly improved ambiance. All in all, the fan experience should be leaps and bounds better than what it was.

If the fights were good it would be an excellent place to watch. Most of the events are full of nobodies
and 4x times the size
I’m planning a trip around my fortieth Birthday next year to Vegas, and actually hoping an Apex Card is there to goto. Just to check it out. As much as I used to hate it, now at least they made more seating and are able to sell tickets sub 1000 bucks.
Still looks soulless.
That place needs character. It’s embarrassing as the home arena.
Something like a modern version of the early UFC aesthetic would be good
I’m with you. The early UFC event set up was the best for small events. Bunch of seating right on top of the stadium was great… for the fans and the fighters.

Wow, it’s incredibly difficult to find actual pictures from the early days (maybe up to around UFC 30S) of the venues and how they looked. That’s really odd. But anyway @uniquenospaces AI Pic is pretty close.i don’t see why they couldn’t do that in a bit of smaller scale with what they have at the APEX.
I told it to combine this with the Apex.
Anything would beat what they have now. Even the old Pearl at the Palms.
But ideally as a home arena you want something cool and unique.

Hell yeah. Great pics. It was odd no matter what specific old event it venue i was searching for I just kept being nothing but UFC white house venue pics or other new ones. Only could get a few old ones but they were pics of the fighters, but really showing how cool the layouts were.
Again not sure why they won’t do that at the APEX unless they just don’t want to deal with having a kid if people there. More people = more staff, security, parking… maybe ufc just wants it a very select few type crowd. Their not really needing to make any gate money from these anyway. Total fighter payout for an apex event like tonight is probably less than $500k
