As Russia mobilizes as many men domestic, foreign, homeless, kidnapped etc as it can, amid a declining population crisis, to prop up the economy they need more male bodies.
Guess what, fans of racism and haters of miscegenation, one of your last big Nazi-esque country strongholds is about to increasingly get diluted.
With increasingly selling out the country to the Chinese government, investors, businesses, and labor, more Chinese are making their way to Russia - and providing Russian women an interesting alternative to the typical degenerate alcoholic womanbeater Russian men.
And what else? More Korean workers and labor.
Russia is going to slowly get more and more yellow as Putin sacrifices Russian men to the SVO, and increasingly is dependent on help from China and Korea.
No one is doing a better job of erasing Russian culture and “ethnicity” and “identity” than Putin himself.
Probably Luka is #2 on the list of parties to stomp the shit out of after Putin, for Poland and others itching for a justification to pop off and invoke article 5.
Only the Kremlin will weep if this despot gets steamrolled with a forced regime change.
Let’s also clarify that part of that was necessity in order to skirt prosecution via immunity and the power of the office. I don’t agree about “how easy his life would have been” - he’s constantly shifted debt and accountability through his civilian career and has a string of business failures and shady tax evasions going back decades. The most lucrative time of his life, is the self-enrichment he has engineered as a president.
This is the easiest life for him by far. His wealth now he is generating for him via his own (deplorable, self-dealing, prostitutional) pursuits exploiting the office of President, and it isn’t book wealth based on other people’s leveraged capital and shifty books.
He was far more vulnerable in private life. I would venture he saw it as the only way forward so he doubled down, threw all caution to the wind, went extreme in stance and tenor, and it paid off bigtime.
Hopefully these two parties can come to agree that they BOTH fucking hate Russia.
Coming out and promoting strong border security in 2015 put him out on a limb. That was taboo at the time. Romney and McCain were both open border types like bush before them
He could have kept his mouth shut and not put a target on his back. They only prosecuted him because he was their political opponent. James the nyc attorney that prosecuted him is under investigation for committing even more egregious loan fraud in her paperwork. It’s hilarious.
Why is “Jay in Kyiv” not on the front lines? Yes, he is a polesmoker but how does that invalidate him from going into the meat grinder for the Dear Leader?
We are all entitled to our opinion.
Mine is that he regularly engages in getting loyal followers to believe everything is a conspiracy against him, to brush off and employ social and political pressure to compromise any investigative efforts into a substantial history and pattern of actionable behavior.
He’s been a consistent defrauder riding right on the line for decades before he was president. I thought he was a shady dealer in NY and NJ real estate and business way back in the Ivana and Marla days. He’s been consistently the same guy, just with different titles next to his name.
His only play is to consistently engage the “I’m a victim of persecution!” angle for the past 3 decades, to deflect scrutiny, and when that can’t be done then he subverts processes from basic tort lawh all the way to judicial process.
In office he understood in term 1 that oversight and normal democratic check and balance is a hindrance to him doing whatever he wants, so he’s understood how to undermine that by replacing key positions that are essential to the fabric of the checks and balances built into our republic’s democracy.
Too many people say he is too stupid or he’s a moron etc. Maybe he is, but I do understand he doesnt need to be smart - he is cunning. Unfortunately he uses it for self-enrichment and not to the good of the country.
Trump fragrances and cellphone plans are a comical example of how little of a compass he truly has.
But too many other places where the Trump persecution debate can be discussed. What is a legitimate concern is either a lack of competency for foreign affairs, a complete prioritization of self-enrichment/aggrandizement over quality of global geopolitical balance, and/or compromised priorities and mission due to Russian influence, or all of the above, in his dealings with the European theater.
Ukraine’s conflict is only a subset of that.
He has voters conflate America First with him also helping America’s fundamental enemies in that theater in the guise of “ending the gravy train”.
I think that he is less a villain and more unfortunately someone who is so self-interested, that he can easily be manipulated. And worse then clueless real-estate-guy-fish-out-of-water Witkoff , easily filled with disinformation as he hates reading briefs and intelligence assessments.
No president worth his salt in 100 years would ever try to whitewash Putin and paint him in a sympathetic light - he is objectively a marauder and Russia is objectively the largest consistent imperial cancer in Europe for the last 200 years.
Trump continues to look for an angle to enrich himself out of the Ukraine conflict, if not in funds then in glorification “I ended the war!”, he cares not about Ukraine one bit. He continues to be puzzled why he can’t make a deal with Putin - because he has no understanding or context for a real predator like Putin, who isn’t a superficial, petty “dealmaker” like Trump.
