Some of those things are true. I would never enter into business with the guy, he has a long history of screwing ppl that do that, and he’s a scummy womanizer. Politicians are tools to enact policies I want, they’ve never been ppl I admire. I never compliment trump in front of my kids, only his policies.

In Merz defense, it seems likely he became convinced in February that there was a real risk that Trump wouldn’t honor Article 5. Then Taurus is the only available stockpiled long range missile if Russia opens a second front in the Baltics. It’s a damned if you do - damned if you don’t scenario. I have to reluctantly agree it’s the right choice.
The EU/UK should have massively invested in increased stockpiles and production capacity in 2022…

I have immense respect for the Ukrainian ppl, especially the men. They’re fighting against impossible odds and dying at a huge rate against a much larger enemy while many of their allies reduce aid and weapons and support.
Why are you blaming the Europeans for not leading when its your boy Trump, who is loudly insisting that HE is in charge and will single handly end the war in 1 day. Trump has done EVERYTHING he can to sideline and undercut the "Europeans ". He doesnt listen to them and often takes complety opposite stsnces on things like sanctions, which undermine the Europeans.
1.Because this is happening in Europe so the rich European countries should take the lead
2. We have fulfilled our obligations regarding Kiev giving their nuclear weapons back to russia to the tune of over 100 billion dollars in aid, intelligence and nuclear deterrence. Ukraine is not a NATO country so we are not obligated to defend them to the extent we would defend a NATO country
3. Trump is handling this far from perfectly, extorting Ukraine for that mineral deal was disgustong, on the other hand, with the European nato countries not even spending 2% of their gdp on defense this is the perfect time to address that. Without the Russian invasion trumps complaints fell on deaf ears.
I fully agree that some euro states need to do more, but you cant paint them all with the same brush. Also, just wanted to point out how Trump was the one making wild claims about ending the war in a day, or whatever time frame he gave. No one in
