Going to watch that right now. Thanks.
I just finished the first round. The bob n weave looks pretty decent. Do you know what the input is to do a bob n weave?
Disregarding the online PC cheaters, do you think the gameplay is better than FNR4?
Thats about as subjective as it gets but yes in my opinion and having played them all for obscene amounts of hours it is way better and has untapped potential yet.
Clinching was in for a very short period and it was atrociously done. Its not so much a problem with clinching but they just outright failed to implement it in a way that didnt just absolutely kill the pace. Bad animations, too slow, frustrating for both players. Maybe after full launch they will circle back
Muthafuckin forum shaming me for not combining my replies hah
I think it would be good if they had clinching, but I hear you about it not being worth having if it’s done really poorly.
Time to take a look in the mirror I’m afraid haha
FNR4 did have a few additional offensive techniques that Undisputed doesnt yet but is on the roadmap.
In undisputed you can basically throw a single strike 7 different ways while FNR4 had several more. You can be standing still, or moving in one of the 4 directions - up down left right and while lunging forward and lunging back. FNR4 had that and you could also throw strikes from angles while swaying. Undisputed doesnt have that YET. Like how Floyd would dip and weave to the left while throwing a far outside straight right at the same time. You can do that in FNR4 but cant here YET.
I want to stick Frazier’s forehead to peoples’ chests and rip hard hooks to the body.
Thats basically the meta right now.
Regarding update 17 that came out a few days ago. They have made huge changes to punches in the launch version, many that directly address (and imo FIX) the most complained about issues like body spamming and uppercuts having massive range. The improvements overall look phenomenal. I cant wait to get this muthafucka on console
oops video was already posted above
This video.
This fixes pretty much all the complaints for the current version of the game.
That’s exciting that you have experience with the game and that you think most of the main problems with the game are being fixed for the launch of the game on consoles!
Can’t wait for the release on consoles. Frazier and Julio Cesar Chavez.
Month and a half away im jonesing for some boxing. I cant get myself to play this current version anymore especially after seeing these launch version videos
I get them not updating the game and letting the public play it before a launch to consoles cause PC reviews would tank sales
I’ve seen ratings for most of the fighters but not the fighters that are exclusive to the WBC Deluxe Edition. Anyone know what Julio Cesar Chavez’s rating is? He might be in two or three divisions and have different ratings in the different divisions. I hope he’s good because my buddy uses Sugar Ray Robinson and I want to fight him with JCC, and I don’t want to give up more than 2 overall points (If SRR is a 91 then I don’t want to fight him with less than an 89).
Is Ali overpowered? How lopsided, if at all, is Ali (93 overall) vs Frazier (90) in the hands of two equally skilled good players?
Ali would be considered OP by most. But so would Frazier and probably more people would lean towards Frazier being much stronger. His power strikes can end fights / stagger like no other. Ali has the benefit of keeping more of his speed throughout / maintaining higher stamina. Against really good players, I often find myself with a lot of early success staying away but on a strict time limit because you can only take so many hits from Frazier so a lot of back pedaling and specifically avoiding the leaping hooks or baiting them out.
So, they’re both really strong. Sorry if you already said as much, but does Frazier have the advantage against Ali in this game?
