A fun Light Heavyweight bout is headed to “Magic City.”

MMAmania.com confirmed with multiple sources today (Tues., Dec. 30, 2025) that two-time Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight title challenger Dominick Reyes will face No. 12-ranked Johnny Walker at UFC 327 on April 11 inside Kayesa Center in Miami, Florida.

Reyes (15-5) was just one win away from potentially earning a third crack at UFC gold when he stepped in against Carlos Ulberg at UFC Perth. Unfortunately for “The Devastator,” those hopes were derailed by a first-round knockout loss (watch highlights). Now, Reyes will look to steady the ship and reestablish himself in Miami.

Before running into Ulberg, Reyes was in the middle of an impressive resurgence, rattling off three straight wins with finishes over Dustin Jacoby (watch highlights), Anthony Smith, and Nikita Krylov. The run briefly reminded fans of the version of Reyes who pushed Jon Jones to the limit in their razor-close 2020 title fight.

Walker (22-9), meanwhile, snapped his third two-fight losing streak inside the Octagon in his most recent outing, where he spoiled the hype train of surging prospect Mingyang Zhang. The Brazilian finished Zhang in the second round as a massive +300 underdog (watch highlights).

The 33-year-old has been nothing if not unpredictable during his UFC tenure, but he’s quietly gone 4-2-1 over his last seven appearances.

While this bout isn’t a title eliminator by any means, the stakes are still meaningful. Walker has a chance to steal Reyes’ No. 9 ranking, while Reyes looks to climb back up a Light Heavyweight division that remains wide open.

No other bouts have been announced yet for UFC’s return to Miami.

Some serious CTE in this matchup. Both of these guys have been brutally knocked out several times.

My first thought as well

In 2019 this would have been a fantastic matchup. Now it’s a guy who has one win in his last four fights against a guy who has won three of his last eight fights.

Have these guys seriously never fought? Damn seems like a no brainer…for years.
