a lot of good tastes in here.
Shane
Pale Rider
Unforgiven
True Grit (both)
If I had to pick one I would say Unforgiven. But I’d really need to re-watch all those within a short period to give a proper answer.

No Country for Old Men is a great modern western
It’s really hard to name a ‘favorite,’ but I really really like Hang 'em High.
Re-Watched “All the Pretty Horses” this evening and “Sling Blade” kid Blevins was a great character!
one thing, in Jail, they mentioned about him not having any “feathers” what the heck did they mean by that?
Also, Matt Damon was clearly an amateur, he needed to romance the Dad/Aunt too if he wished to improve his LOWborn situation, I know all about this!
+1 for Tombstone
Tombstone for modern-ish. Terror of Tiny Town for classic b&w
+1 to mine, already mentioned:
the man who shot Liberty Valance,
Blazing Saddles
also
High Noon
and the all time classic back to the future 3, of course!
Open Fire… on Trolls.
what are they like so I know what to look out for?
Outlaw Josie Wales good memories of me and my dad watching this when I was way to young to be watching it.
Silverado. Loved this as a kid. Still do.
Unforgivin. One of the best ever.
Shaaaane come back Shane!
My gradnmother dated Alan Ladd for a while back in the early 50s lol.
Apperantly my dad ended up with his coat from the film. But like a dumb kid, wore that fucking thing until it fell apart and they tossed it out. I wonder what that would for for at auction these days lol.
She told me “he was a pompous ass”… So Im pretty sure he quickly ditched her for some hot young starlet lol.
Not long after that she met my bull riding bronc breaking granddad, and the rest was history. No more movie star dick for her lol.
Has anyone mentioned Jeremiah Johnson
Saw that once as a kid and remember liking it. Gotta rewatch that one. The Long Riders too. Childhood HBO favorites.
