Jeremiah Johnson
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Once Upon A Time In The West
I have too many favorites but this is probably the top 3.
Westerns are my favorite.

One of his best!
“The Girl Who Got Rattled” is a gut punch
Nope.
‘Shane’…
But there’s so many great Westerns… For a brief moment there was a shirt Renaissance when we got ‘3:10 to Yuma’, ‘Open Range’ and ‘Appaloosa’. All great films and all within a short span of time.
Open Range definitely the best of the three.
I’d agree, but it’s a personal preference.
I’m personally not a big fan of 3:10 to Yuma.
I like it… But I do think it’s the weakest of the 3 films.
I watched part of the Ballad of Buster Scruggs last night.
I did not enjoy it at all.
A bunch of stories with bad endings. I quit after the girl who got rattled.
That’s the best one! I think you only had one left.
I dont like to watch movies that make me feel bad.
If I wanted to feel bad I’d mosey on over to the UG.
i thought i’d seen appaloosa but apparently i’d only seen a couple parts
hard to rate because it is a very deliberate (but i wouldn’t necessarily say slow) movie. i’d assume some of that owing to the fact its a remake and it was matching the source material.
anyway, i really liked it. i’ll have to wait and see where i think it stacks up for me over time, but defnitely recommended if you haven’t seen it/seen it recently.
Appaloosa is a remake? I know Ed Harris had to scrounge and call in favors to get it made after reading the novel. Most of the main actors, like the great Viggo did it as a favor to Harris.
there’s a Brando “the appaloosa” film from the 1960’s so i assumed it was the same IP
could be wrong
Tombstone
That’s not a line in Tombstone tho
And it’s not even the correct line from what he’d mis-quoting.
I just assumed he was trolling.
