He recently revealed his decision to leave the sport was due to multiple fight cancellations and the impression that the UFC “didn’t want to make me a champion.”
The Russian talent, now 35, beat Jeremy Stephens and Calvin Kattar in his final UFC bouts in 2019.
Rosas Jr., ranked No. 13 in the official UFC bantamweight list, improved to 6-1 in the company after a decision victory over Rob Font this past March, his fifth in a row since 2023. He competed in a grappling match with Deiveson Figueiredo in Brazil, but that ended in a draw since neither could secure a submission.
He was so fun to watch, dudes fights were always great. If he were to come back to MMA it’s now or never, I’d definitely watch.
