258 is too much. But he fought close to 235 at 205. So 240-245 would have been fine. 258 might be too heavy. Though here, the nimble dude is Gane. Alex likes to square up.
I think all these guys going to heavyweight gain too much weight, same for Jon Jones. Pereira should be fighting at whatever weight he was after a training camp and before he started cutting weight for 205, probably 235. 230-240 is plenty big enough to fight any heavyweight that can make 265.
Me three. If Alex manages to pull it off, Iāll be his #1 fan. Balls of steel going up like this to fight someone who is absolutely not a pushover (to anyone not names Jones LOL). I think he loses convincingly though, Iāve got a 67% change Gane KOās him.
The thing that worries me is Francis landed good shots on Gane and didnt really hurt him. Alex might not have that same touch of death he is used to having.
He gained too much weight if hes pushing 260 and probably gonna be slow.
Iāve never been impressed with anything Gane has done in the cage though (and his netflix movie sucked), and Alex is simply the more talented fighter.
Iām genuinely curious how much stuff you guys watch. Did any of you watch him spinning back kick the soccer ball into the net that the hot reporter threw? Heās moving quite well. When he hits pads and spars heās practicing technique. Heās always looked slow doing it and he always looks perfectly fine in fights. He hasnāt lost a fight yet because of a speed disadvantage. This exact same conversation was had when he went to 205 and he decimated the division. Maybe Gane is too fast, weāll see, but if thatās the case he will just use it to run.
