Nunes lost the belt because whoever helped ATT pass drug tests was out during that UFC (check out the performance of almost all of the other ATT fighters that night). Nunes may have stepped away from ATT (not sure) back then, but that doesn’t mean she stopped using the ATT connection’s help passing drug tests, and she gave up the belt like she expected to lose it.
Didn’t know this. Good to know and thank you for sharing
He was circling the entire night
So, is Jones going to fight Alex now? With no wrestling and coming off a loss, that’s tailor-made for Jones
Normally when you give away 5 rounds you “look off”…
Every time he got hit was because he didn’t circle away. It was either him standing in the pocket with his chin up or him moving backwards on a straight line.
Same reason he would easily get clinched and pushed into the cage.
No wrestling? A dirtneck that’s never had anything to do in life but try to grab other dudes and hug them against a wall couldn’t take him down with 12 attempts, and got bitch tossed for his efforts
DC, Jones would take him down in the second attempt
Alex is 37. He didn’t look terrible but father time is undefeated.
That’s not what you said. You said he has no wrestling. Tons of people who had plenty of wrestling, better wrestling than Jones got taken down. Did they have no wrestling?
Edit
Dana must be pissed
He looked ‘off’ because Ank put him ‘off’ his game with pressure, pace, clinching and cage work instead of being walked down like a deer in headlights
Not to mention he got his clock cleaned and staggered at the end of rd 2
Maybe. Either way I’d like to see how he does in HW
Yes
And just now, the UFC has become even more boring. It was already dull, but now it’s even worse

It was southpaw vs orthodox and Alex lost the battle of the lead foot.
Ank managed to keep his lead foot outside Alex’s the entire time.
That freezing was him trying to read the takedowns and clinching
He LOOKED like he had broken hands. No, he didn’t. But he looked like it. Why wasn’t he throwing! It was frustrating indeed. He had good kicks but barely any good punches.
In a rematch, this is one of those fights that the style might be completely different next time around. If Poatan adjusts, of course.
