I wished the Anaconda had choked his dumb ass, that is a beautiful snake and he’s trying to get attention. Guy is a huge fag!

I hate this fucking guy. Hopefully he goes the way of the grizzley man.

Yeah I saw it was wrong in the clip. No blame being laid just making the correction .

Never had either one, but I was under the impression that anacondas are not as aggressive as retics. And some retics are scary psychotic. I do know one breeder who got bit by a large breeder retic on his inner thigh, and the snake’s teeth managed to rip open his femoral artery.

Or maybe not…

their teeth are no joke.

Yeah, you have to push deeper into their mouths to get free, it’s counterintuitive

He’s lucky it was just an agitated snake that wanted him to fuck off and not a full feeding response kind of thing.

The specific name, reticulatus, is Latin and means ‘net-like’, or reticulated, and is a reference to the complex color pattern.

Male retic in breeding mode is probably the most dangerous, non venomous, snake there is. Females get significantly bigger but the males are on another level. Anacondas are much more heavier bodied and much more stronger but they are more likely to flee than battle.

Retics have smaller teeth than the other constrictors but deliver some of the nastiest bites too. Often cause more tearing and more open wounds than the other guys.

Have some pics on my other phone.

Also have a much weaker feeding response.

Peoples intial response to getting bit is to pull back which is the worst thing you can do. Saw a picture of a guy who basically got degloved by pulling his out out of a bite. Hot or cold water will normally cause the snake to release, alcohol will also get them to let go.

Goddamm. Thought I’d seen it all but a degloving would be new to me. That’s a bad day lol.

Another way to get them to release can be to bend their tail backwards towards their backs but it’s not as reliable as alcohol or hot/cold water.

If all else fails, bite if you can. Human bites have a great track record of making snakes release victims even after machetes and steak knives and shit have failed.

…ya never know for the Florida guys lol. :person_shrugging:
