MMA/BJJ couples are always a mistake lol. Iām just guessing thatās what would cause a split there, I havenāt been there or talked to them in a while. Drama is inevitable either way but that makes it more likely and worse lol.
The people were cool. It was their Sunday comp class I went to.
The owner dude was a fun roll, he is the first guy to ever successfully honey stick me. He hit it while I was kani basamiāing him too, slick stuff.

I found out about that gym because the lady owner beat one of my female students in comp and invited us to go train with them.
I only made the trip a few times because itās about 3.5 hours from me lol.
The gym was really nice though and I didnāt have to drive through traffic I liked it lol.

Iām not ADCC level but I am good enough that not many very close to me can give me tough rolls, especially on leg stuff. The level of technical ability West of like Chambersburg is awful. Philly has a bunch of good black belts around my size, plus that female student of mine needed rolls with girls her size.
She was a blue belt steam rolling womenās divisions and Katherine fucked her up so bad when they competed at Naga and she wanted to train there as much as she could after that. I told her losing to a world class brown belt as a blue was acceptable but she was like āfuck that, I need to learn everything I can from that womanā lol.

A few good ones.
Thereās a guy named Brad Souders whoās a good coach with a lot of good guys. He teaches at a gym in Greencastle called TCA that has a lot of good rolls at their open mat and I really like the owner there too.

Honestly I was surprised at how good she was. My student was a HS wrestling state champ and by blue she had an real guard and great leg locks. She just fucked up every other girl sheād competed with up until then.
Kat completely dominated her. Swept her, passed her guard, took the back, ushiro sankaku. Textbook shit. Sheās the real deal.
