Cain In The Ass

Cain Velasquez was expected to be sentenced on Friday after pleading “No Contest” to multiple charges, including attempted murder, for his 2022 shooting in Santa Clara, California. Instead, the former UFC heavyweight champion will complete his motions hearing later this week but return on March 24 for his actual sentencing.

That’s according to a report from MMA Fighting.

The 42 year-old Velasquez, who remains free after posting $1 million bond, struck a deal with prosecutors to keep himself from a life behind bars. That said, the newly-signed GFL coach is still expected to face prison time when he returns for sentencing in March, which could interfere with his GFL plans, depending on the verdict.

Velasquez was arrested in March 2022 after a wild car chase that ended with Velasquez opening fire in broad daylight. His intended victim, accused child molester Harry Goularte, escaped uninjured but the former luchador struck and wounded Goularte’s passenger.

“This defendant decided to become judge, jury, and executioner,” Santa Clara County district attorney Jeff Rosen said. “His actions endangered innocent bystanders, including young children and their parents who could have been injured or killed as he shot at his intended victim. We have excellent law enforcement in this county. Let them do their jobs.”

Using common sense this should be “Time Served Mr. Cain, go in peace!”

Was that million in cash?

Don’t most bondsmen take 10 percent? So he had to put up 100k of his own money if he went through a bondsman.

Yeah that is definitely gas lighting. In most CA counties calling the cops will get you nothing except them telling you to file a report online.

I would much rather take shots from Cain chasing me in his car than have him corner and MMA me.

That would be absolutely terrifying. He was stupid to use his pistol rather than his fist

Think trump can get him out?

I think he was justified and should walk Scott free. Maybe give him 30 days in county for sloppy vigilante work…aka not getting the job done.

This said, I don’t know much about prison but how will his time be? I don’t imagine too many dudes wanting to take a shot at him in there … but prison is a different world.

Cain isn’t just a tough MMA fighter but a tough dude, from a tough area, Uma.

I knew who Cain was before he was famous because a college teammate grew up with him.

I don’t say that to make myself sound cool…but to speak to the reputation that Cain had pre MMA. When he walked through the UFC hwt division, I was not surprised.
