Don Frye on Mark Kerr. Lol

you will pay for your seat…but youll only need the edge!!!

That should’ve been his nickname. “Thee” Frank Juarez Shamrock and the most accomplished Lion’s den fighter will never be a spinoff. Respectfully, good sire.

Is Ken.

Besides, it’s an appropriate spin-off, since Frank is realistically a product of Ken.

I was being sarcastic. I bust people’s balls on here all the time and get mine busted as well. I am not getting into it too much but i invite anyone that has been a fan of MMA to watch the Ken/Kimbo fight and tell if it is real or a work. From the prowrestling talking to each other with their heads together to Ken’s last takedown that was so pathetic looking that Kimbo had to throw himself down. Ken’s knees were shot at that point. You are a big Ken fan do you really think Ken couldn’t have finished a totally undefended rear-naked choke?

And my response was busting your balls back.
Only you didn’t come off as sarcastic, you came off like you were being a dick for no reason.

A Ken movie would be awesome if done right. And anyone who has followed him and the LD, and/or has read the Snowden book, should probably agree.

You act as if that hasn’t been done here many times.
It’s been discussed to death.

Being suspicious I can understand.
But on the other thread you basically insulted me for having a different take on it than you.
And my take is an educated one.

I don’t pretend to know for sure either way.
But I have explanations for how it can be real, and I’m not the only one.

Busting balls is one the thing.
But when we are generally cool, and you break out the insults over a valid disagreement – then piggyback on those insults on other threads – I’m going to tell you to fuck off.

New thread/new topic = generally (with some exceptions) a clean slate with me.
That’s how I am.

Yes.
They were shot long before that.

I’ve made my argument on other threads, and don’t really want to derail.

I’ll just say that Ken’s physical limitations are greater than many seem to realize.

Short version:
Ken thought he had it, was desperate for the win, and blew up his arms trying to finish. His physical limitations hindered his ability to get leverage on it, and by the time he probably realized it wasn’t happening, he was already fatigued. He should have switched grips. My guess is he thought he had it just as much as everyone else.

I don’t want to get into a big thing about it.

Again, being suspicious is one thing..
When people act like they are so damn sure – to the point where they insult people with a different viewpoint – I tend to get ornery.

None of us knows for sure either way.

Depends on how much you value KOP vs very early UFC.

Those 5 UFC title wins are certainly something Ken never matched, but there’s an argument to be made they don’t mean much because of the competition level.

Don or Kerr? Kerr is more likely to stop him with knees than Don is to hit him.

I love Don. Don was a very important paver on the road to MMA. A decent wrestler with decent boxing who was tough as all hell. But beyond those first few UFCs, that really wasn’t enough.

It’s close IMO.

Ken is the pioneer.
Ken also had success against tournament winners and guys who would have belts too.

I like both guys and think they both could have been better under different circumstances.

Was Duarte the guy in Pride that started screaming every time Kerr got close to him?

Kerr said he intentionally dragged out the Duarte fight to prove to his critics that he had cardio.

I’m with you, friend.

If that’s how someone acted in response to having to fight Kerr, I think it says volumes about Kerr.

Frye says he was between back surgeries and on tons of pain pills in the OP video, apologizes and says Kerr is a great guy.

Iirc there was beef between them regarding Brock.

I’ll find the whole clip, but Frye felt like Kerr stole Brock from him, then Kerr fucked the Lesnar deal up, and that’s how Brock ended up with Paulson and Greg Nelson. Frye was bitter about the whole thing.

That guy did an interview with Kerr after Frye iirc. Kerr said he likes Don and regretted how everything shook out with Brock, admitted he fucked Brock because he was an addict.

Also in that interview Kerr casually mentions he was on Halotestin, which is the craziest and most dangerous anabolic I know of lol.
