Gable Stevenson on Rogan

Has all the right answers why he didn’t go all in on MMA earlier and didn’t stick with the WWE.

Sounds like he was a pretty good wrestler, he just got lucky he didn’t run into that one OGer’s sons.

Looking forward to listening to this one.

Someone with his athleticism can be 33 years old and circle-back to pro wrestling if he wanted to. But for MMA it makes all the sense in the world to make a splash when you’re in your physical prime.

The more rich and famous he gets, the more Jon Jones shenanigans he’s gonna pull, mark my words.

His parents from all outward appearances seem to be pretty grounded.

Two eyes Aspinall would be too much for him.

Enjoy watching him compete but he always seems goofy in interviews, trying to hard or something. Maybe I’ll give this a go.

Keep in mind he’s only 25 so he has plenty of time to even that out. I think he will be good or dominant enough in the cage to where he won’t need to sell himself on the mic

He’s definitely a showman, but that’s not a bad thing for MMA.

Last thing we need is another guy who humps his way to decision and has the charisma of stale pita bread.

just finishing the episode…

no one can come out of that interview and really say anything bad about gable… there was nothing new to anyone who is already familiar, but, it will introduce him to plenty who are just not very aware…

he is just a young kid who has done more than 95% of the normals who have ever lived and he still has 2/3 of his life to go…

He will never reach Jon’s level of fame in my opinion.
Jon was a star at the height of MMAs mainstream appeal. Jon had a very popular, fan friendly Foil in Cormier.

And we all need to admit that Jones was, in real life, everything a pro wrestling heel tries to be.

Steveson wont have that same cultural saturation or appeal that the previous era guys had. People really don’t watch MMA like they used to.

All the more reason that the sport needs a heavyweight star to promote to the next level. Everyone thinks it’s this guy. He needs an Unbreakable villian tho you are right about that.
