I fucking hate eyepokes and low blows. It’s obvious who does it on purpose every single fight.
I used to think Jones was the goat until @Squishy_Steel I think maybe it was pointed out his Eyepoke game. And covering opponents eyes.
Gayche seems to love weaponizing hitting opponents in the eyeball with his thumbs. So fuck him too

I can’t imagine watching his balls to the wall fighting style and calling Justin gay.
I’ve lost respect for him seeing him pull this shit over and over and then trying to normalize eyepokes on Rogan.
Subject line is a bit of joke though. His name is already too hard to spell.
I still remember watching the toporia fight and seeing it look like his eyes were bleeding. Makes sense now that it’s because Justin was hitting him around the eyes with his thumbs.

I never heard him normalize eye pokes. I’m not saying he didn’t. I just never heard it. That would be disappointing if true and I tend to believe you because I like your posting history and you are an honest seeming dude.

Watching the whole rogan pod I didn’t feel he was normalizing it as much as trying to sell why the UFC needs to change go Whitmans gloves, if at least something better.
Regardless, eye pokes will never go away until the issue with the gloves are fixed. Period.

I honestly think if they enforced the rules the problem would go away
I know Rogan talked about pride gloves and Whitman’s gloves before. But at this point I think enough fighters have alluded to or admitted that you can get away with X fouls per fight. And until getting a warning can be unlimited fouls.
So the refs are the primary reason and I think Dana’s reaction to Tom Aspinall getting his eye injured says everything, this comes from the top down. Dana is perfectly fine with low blows and eye pokes in his fights
That was one thing I noticed when watching some one cards a couple years back, almost no low blows. When in the UFC nearly every fight has a low blow or eyepokes or both. Or atleast it seems that way.

Good thread OP Gaethje is a serial cheater who somehow gets a pass for his blatant eye pokes.
I know many will obviously disagree but I still think he had loaded gloves against Topuria because he hit Paddy and Max way more than Ilia yet their faces looked nothing like his in that fight.
Coincidentally there was no athletic commission for White house card so make of that what you will.

He hit Paddy and Max with a lot more significant strikes and none of them had broken orbital bones.

Thats a great point too. The way Topurias eyes were both bleeding out of nowhere was crazy. Going back looks like maybe a thumb did that initially.
Topuria said he couldn’t see already in the first round.
UFC will NEVER expose a cheater and always reward cheating. Pretty fucked up.

There are a bunch of videos showing something in Justin’s palm under his glove/wrap. But, I dont see why he would have anything in the middle of his palm instead of just on the knuckles if he was going to put whatever Margarito did back in the day for example.

100% reminded me of Cotto vs Margarito 1 in Boxing. Think they were much more careful with how they did this though.
I’ve watched Gaetje his whole career and while he hits hard if he really hit that hard wouldn’t Paddy and Max’s face look similar considering he hit them with a lot more significant strikes? They were fine though no broken orbitals.
The guy is a cheat and sadly Ila’s career may be permanently damaged from this.
