I still love this instructional. I made huge leaps in my game when it came out. I studied it for months and started beating many of the top guys in my gym. It’s fairly low speed compared to modern instructionals, but I still love it. Thank you for posting.

If I remember correctly, there’s a part where Kimo shows something and says something along the lines of “my middle school wrestling coach showed me this.” lol

Yep, those are some good ones, 100% 2000 style. The kimo’s are nice for all the random screams and gorilla Joe gibberish

Do you have both the Renzo Gracie no-gi series and the black belt series in their entirety on your youtube channel? I never knew these existed.

Still have mine… And still waiting on the update!

British MMA/grappling guy. I haven’t heard that name in a super-long time. I think he was putting out some highly-rated instructionals in the mid-to-late 2000s.

I have 3 of them uploaded, several of the black belt series also

Never heard of him

How can I access them?

do you have a direct link to an unlisted playlist?

They’re spread out through the 743 uploads, i’ll try to make a playlist

Or if it’s easier, can we get a direct link to the unlisted videos on your channel so we can look up the videos ourselves? Wouldn’t want to bother you with making a playlist if it’s easier that way.

I seem to recall an interview with Hugo from many years ago where he said he had some kind of rib or leg injury–something kept him from staying on the back, he didnt have the ability due to an injury–so he decided to go for the armbar.

I always just figured he was trying to prove a point that he didn’t need a poverty hold to beat tank.
