I have the same opinion. Ddp survives the first round and then beats the shit out of him imo. Whitaker probably would have done the same thing if he didn’t have the fluke injury to his already damaged teeth

I think everyone is having a very hard time adjusting to Khamzat’s crazy initial blitz.
I have no doubt Rob is better than him at everything he just wasn’t awake yet.

He gave up right here and wanted out. I remember seeing DC take knees like this from Jones and he never quit. Bo doesn’t have the toughness needed to be a champ.

Definitely not a great reaction or body language. Looks like he’s never been dropped by a body shot in training and didn’t know how to survive once the liver got tagged. He also looks really soft in his midsection for such a high level athlete

He was lazy in the clinch too. He looked like he’s used to doing clinch work with guys who he can just ragdoll and outwrestle.
The biggest problem free/folk wrestlers have in the clinch is their posture. Bo suffered here a lot. He couldn’t pressure him against the fence because he was playing with hips back. You have to play greco/thai style clinch on the fence. You’re going to get kneed. That’s how he ate so many hard knees before the takedown in rd 1.
He clearly didn’t expect to be out grappled either, he looked disheartened when RDR fucked up his chest to chest top half and Bo made enough space to get up near the end of Rd 1.
I think it’s hilarious that the dumb ass wrestler pulled guard and lost top position.
To be honest his face looked like he wanted a way out in between the rounds.

Those punches were Nick Diazesq . He wasnt winding up, he just kept throwing volumes of accurate 40% punches. He wouldnt let Bo rest, he kept coming forward and throwing something.

You have to take a punch, but you also have to react appropriately. I remember Arloski would get popped and freeze, the opponent would then follow up with punches and finish him. Bo was hurt with the knees but didnt do anything to prevent more. When he was hurt he probably should have swung hart a few times and gone for a takedown and recoup. Instead he did a shitty clinch and got Diazed

He is a bad man. I like his style. Ive said from a long time ago that De Ridder would bring it and force Bo to fight.
Bo got thrown into the fire. He will either be burned up or he will be vitrified, like clay turning into hard ceramic.
I dont think Bo is a quitter and I feel he has grit. You dont become a world class wrestler by being lazy or soft. What Bo did need is this, an ass beating to humble him. His attitude was unwarranted, he will now know what losing feels like and add things to his game.

I get the impression his world class wrestling ability was his kryptonite in this fight. I feel like a lot of guys with that wrestling ability and can’t get someone down, don’t have much to fall back on and mentally don’t know where to go.
Bo will be back.
