I remember Rulon Gardner. Never been in a fight but he was smart. He developed a piston like jab and beat the shit out of a top Pride fighter.
If he fought smart he should have these by now.

Bo has looked small compared to his last two opponents. He should try and cut to 170. I know people said it can’t be done but he isn’t the bully at 185

The craziest part of that was rulon trained like 3 or 4 sessions total for that fight.
Parsons came up with the game plan, showed him how to jab. Rulon came in a few times to practice, then just went out jabbed the shit out of yoshida lol.
He still had a better jab than Bo does now.

People are full of shit. If he looked that soft and hydrated on the scales at 185 he can diet his ass to 187 and actually cut weight correctly to the weight he should be.

Funny, I used to have no respect for Rulon Gardner, thought that his victory over Karelin in the Olympics was a fluke and that he was a wuss in nature.
That all changed after he fought MMA, guy was a brickhouse. Yoshida was a tough Judo guy himself but Rulon just moved forward like tank with bazooka-like jabs. He just plowed his way through Yoshida like he was nothing.
Rulon is a nice guy after all and quit MMA because he didn’t like inflicting damage onto his opponents. Much respect to him.
