Conor McGregorâs appeal has reportedly been denied in a civil sexual assault case.
According to the BBC, and multiple other news outlets, three senior judges at the Court of Appeal in Dublin dismissed the appeal âon all grounds.â The former two-division UFC champ was found liable of sexual assault in a civil trial filed against him this past November.
McGregor was accused of sexually assaulting Nakita Hand in a Dublin hotel in 2018, and after the jury handed down their verdict, McGregor was ordered to pay Hand ÂŁ206,000 ($271,742.84).
Following the verdict, McGregor said he would appeal the decision, citing he was âdisappointed that the jury did not hear all the evidence that the DPP reviewed.â According to the BBC, McGregorâs appeal stemmed from his attorneys feeling his answers during interviews with police âshould not have been put before the jury.â
During the trial, Hand claimed that she later told a friend that McGregor âraped and batteredâ her in the alleged incident at the Beacon Hotel penthouse suite in Sandyford, Dublin.
McGregor would testify that the acts were consensual, and the sex was âathletic, physical,â but denied assaulting Hand, and then telling Handâs attorney that âeverything is a lie.â
As of now, McGregor has not responded to the appeal being denied.

LOL I read âloses appealâ as in nobody likes him any more. I was thinking, he lost his appeal years ago.

Hahhhahahahahahahahaahahaa EpicNeck
That led to a strong rebuke from a judge on the appeal panel, and a new lawsuit from Hand against McGregor, OâReilly, and Cummins for âmalicious abuse of the process of the court.â
âThe conduct of Mr. McGregor â in publicly introducing evidence which fundamentally called into question the correctness of the juryâs verdict and the testimony of Ms. Hand which had led to it, only to abandon that evidence when it was about to be tested â is behavior which deserves to be marked by a palpable sign of the courtâs displeasure and disapproval,â judge Brian OâMoore said during the appeal hearing.
The appeals panel confirmed that they were passing the matter on to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for investigation to see if the matter reached the criminal standard for perjury.
As for Hand, sheâs suing for aggravated and punitive damages as well as legal costs.
