No hero’s in ufc anymore

Not that I’m a fan of hero worship but it’s nice to have a baby face character to root for. Gsp, Randy couture, prime Conor, prime Anderson were great baby faces for their time. Now we just have the battle of the goblins.

The heroes of the UFC are huge on possessive vs. plural, thus while they’ve all abandoned you

I look at the guy and instantly think he looks like a clown. But he’s actually a really articulate, down to earth guy it seems. I’m sure he’s got more good fighting left in him. Sometimes a guy just has your number.

What you’re describing is a lack of mega-stars in the UFC.

The brand itself is still very strong to the point where they can usually get away with charging PPV ticket prices for glorified FN cards, in part due to hosting so many gym wars shows @ The Apex and creating artificial scarcity.

And realistically, TKO probably prefers it that way over individual stars in WWE or UFC having too much leverage.

But looking up and down the roster…who really captures the imagination nowadays? Who transcends fighting and is a bonafide sports celebrity?

Except he’s got no one good to fight him.

Once Endeavor bought the ufc, they’ve made it a point to promote the brand and not fighters. It’s hard to even be invested when it’s a revolving door now of 950+ fighters.

Think merab is underrated in the “good guy” category. Doesn’t talk shit, works as hard as anyone. He seems like a great dude in interviews, down to earth.

Plus, he’s crazy, right? Doesn’t he climb a lot of shit? I respect that. He’s not out blowing coke. He works, fights, and jumps off shit. That’s cool.

Actually, they should be marketing the shit out of Merab. Tireless work ethic, pushes an incredible pace, has a good message for younger kids in not pushing drugs or alcohol etc, and he can speak English well enough

Heroes IMO

Who’s that Brazilian guy that’s the champ of the midget division? He’s worked pretty hard.

Zero charisma though and crying for years begging JBJ to fight you is not a good look.

You are blinded by your racism towards JBJ’s though.

Pantoja is a fucking great fighter. Recall him being very respectful also.

Standing by merab. He’s a huge USA guy too, isnt he? Think he is very happy about the opportunity this country gave him.

Look what he did w it! Good for him. Merab is the man.
