Aspinall is getting Chandler’ed…Sitting out on the sidelines, burning prime time of career, waiting for a fight that may likely never happen
That’s the guy. He’s a family man whose father abandoned him and drove a fucking Uber while fighting to get by. That’s a man.
To save MMA the UFC would have to reduce their roster and let other orgs flourish. Also keep their events for the top male talent.
Brock, Conor and Honda all crossed over in to the main stream. Brock was already there, and the other two were anomalies.
The stars the UFC has at present are about comparable to the Liddell/Tito era when it comes to main stream popularity in all reality. And they were never heroes for anyone outside of die hards IMO.
It’s hard to compare people to the megastars. There’s plenty of good dudes who are big-ish, like Holloway and Volk, but picking heroes is a choose your own adventure.
It was Poatan for a little while then that stopped immediately after Ankalaev.
You’re a decent geezer, but your posh rabbit’s a bit over the top. Makes ya sound right dodgy, like a fruit, mate.
Can you translate “posh rabbit” so I can hurl that at people correctly?
“Fancy talk / Accent”
The best male role model in 2025 UFC is very telling…
It’s Kayla Harrison
Well it’s just talk/chatter really.
Her post fight speech and the cornball prayer session had me in pure cringe mode.
I lost it when they brought Tommy Wiseau in for the face off
Conor was a baby face and then an anti hero.it made him a mega star like stone cold, the rock.
Calm,Cerebral pre fight Conor was something special.
Too cheeky? I am a bit mental.
I heard they want to fight, anybody, but ufc is stalling
He climbs shit to physically assault fans
He also says the the worst most scumbag shit to Russian fighters
He’s a huge piece of shit
It was like that with Dana long before Endeavour
Stars were stars in spite of him, not because of him
Lots of unique crazy characters still in MMA. Pereira, Merab, Jiri, Aspinall, Lewis, Ngannou, etc. In fact, as a sport, the density of unique personas is pretty high!
Titles change hands too often to establish new greats. And the UFC promotes its own brand over the fighters.
The UFC has jumped the shark.
Honestly was there really ever? Most that were for a brief time ended up fucked in some way
