Tom is bigger than Carwin, for real? I don’t mean taller really, but a naturally bigger guy? I could be wrong, but that sounds weird. Carwin was in there with Lesner and was not looking small in comparison…

Aspinall is way too crafty to let Carwin get too close in the first round.

He’d gas him out by the middle of the second and go for the finish.

Tom wins. Too many weapons that heavy’s didn’t use a lot in carwins time. Tom could probably beat him with just movement and leg kicks.

This is my opinion too.
Carwin was a monster and one of my favorites because he is an engineer too.
But Aspinal is next generation/evolution

I think Aspinall is very easy money here. His stand up is LIGHT YEARS ahead. Haven’t heard that phrase in awhile haha

Carwin was a beast in his (very short lived) prime…although only for a round or so. Would be an interesting fight, but Carwin better finish him quick or he’s losing.

Probably Aspinall, hes a lot quicker, slicker and more technically skilled with his stand up while having what seems to be equal power.

I always liked Carwin but when you actually look at it objectively, the guy went 4-2 in the UFC, 8 of his 12 career wins were in low level regional promotions, 9 dont have a wiki page.
