And nicksick going on every single podcast this week shitting on him is just as bad, if not worse. This guy has NO idea what it’s like being in there with someone who can put you in a coma to the cheers of an audience and needs to be reminded of that. Stricklands performance was dog shit but he has to live with that.
I don’t wanna appear like I’m coming off as a Sean Strickland defender, but he outstruck anderson fucking silva man. What’s delusional about his belief in his fighting style? Yeah, he didn’t seem to want it the other night, but that doesn’t change the original statement I made.

I didnt agree with it, but Eric didnt say anything untrue; my big issue is his “i want to train world champions” comment.
Sean was a world champion. They got there together.
I understand his frustration, but your number one guy had a bad fight and now you dont wanna train him anymore? Now hes not a champion? Anyone that has ever held that belt is a champion for life, period.
So to go on a show and say something like that about someone who has helped you as much as youve helped them…it just doesnt inspire loyalty.

Aljo and Merab both moved to train at Xtreme. The drama around that is why Matt no longer corners fighters.
