Dan Severn just posted a photo.
Ken is 62. He looks 100# lighter than when he was at UFC peak.
Dan is 68 now. Also down from peak, but I don’t think as much as Ken.

It’s a shame they never had a third fight. It’s not like Dan can brag about a win like he had at UFC 9.

No one wanted to see that shit again after the second fiasco.
Ken claimed his knee was messed up or his rib was broken at UFC 9. Who knows what’s true?
Iirc they told them right before the show that they would arrest them if they used a closed fist.

My wife and I have been watching early UFCs and I sort of forgot how good Dan Severn was.

None of Ken’s wins were works.
Unless you count Hume, which was billed as an exhibition so not a work either.
People act like Severn won the second fight with Ken, but I don’t see it. They both lost that night. But even then, Ken only got pulled into Ken’s guard, and Ken mounted Severn at one point. No victory for Severn IMO.
A lot of stuff in Pancrase is up in the air and most of the fighters will not come clean. That’s why I don’t like having those matches included in someone’s MMA record. They’re slap fights with rope breaks anyway.
Should have been a DQ for both guys IMO.
