Severn & Ken Shamrock in 2026

Agreed.

Severn did have too position for a while but Ken escaped.
Nobody was ever in trouble and neither earned a win in my book.

I remember starting a thread way back when on the ug about how this pizza box resembles either Severn or Shamrock. Revisiting now, I’m quite sure it’s been created in Dan’s likeness.

Disagree.

Regarding the wra in question, we pretty much know which ones were works.
Guys have been discussing and dissecting those fights for decades now.

Also, I think Pancrase is MMA, but it’s not NHB.
It may be the version of MMA with the most rules, but it’s still MMA IMO.

Doubt it.

But yeah, it would be his best chance.

I still think closed fist punching is required for it to be MMA. I don’t mind calling it shootfighting if no closed fists are allowed. In my mind NHB is more old school with headbutts and kicking a downed fighter.

Yeah, back in the day it was Shootfighting to me.

Guys did get rocked, dropped, and KOd in Pancrsse.
A palm strike from someone well practiced at it can do damage.

They should start a fake online beef and set up an “old warriors: brother vs. brother” themed fight. They could probably both use a few bucks.

A stiff work with both tapping to leglocks at the same time so nobody loses face.

And he didn’t want to punch with a closed fist bc….. the kids. You know he wanted to be a good role model!!!

Just like he never took PEDs. All for the kids.

There was about 3 minutes worth of fighting on that fiasco. If someone can make a shortcut of those 3 minutes, it’s a pretty good fight.

I was a hardcore fan in the 90s and never knew Ken was a wild drug-takin’ partier. Maybe I wasn’t that hardcore. His life must be a movie.

I met Dan at a law enforcement training conference, was able to do pummeling drills with him for 30 minutes. Truly a beast.

These 2 should be brought to events and interviewed frequently by the UFC, like so many other legends of the sport should.

But Dana is a POS and thinks he’s the star of the UFC.

UFC = joke.

I’d watch it.

Seemed like every fight with closed fists, Ken ended up with a broken hand by the time he threw 12 punches.

This is disingenuous.

First of all, he did formerly deny taking PEDS, but he has since admitted it.
Same with guys like Coleman, etc.

As far as your “for the kids” statement:
From what I understand, getting arrested and convicted of a crime could have jeopardized Ken’s position as part owner of a group home for boys. That kind of thing is regulated by the state.

So if anything, Ken had the best reason out of anyone to follow the rules that night.

Ken’s life would make a great movie.
More exciting than Kerr IMO – and I thought that one was pretty good.

Did you read the Snowden book?

Yeah, that’s what I was thinkin’ would make a good foundation for a screenplay. I wonder if any writer approached him yet.
