I don’t really know. Just some guy I remember hearing about who fought in the UFC. He was a better scientist than fighter.

Carlos made the list. 
Dominic Cruz. I don’t know if he is book smart but he is witty and original. Bisping as well, he is underrated smart and a bit of a wordsmith

This is a REACH, but Roman Roytberg - he was a protege of Maurice Smith and a great kickboxer, I saw him on some early events down south. Finished about 6-2 IIRC.
He left fighting to go to dental school, and as far as I know he was a practicing dentist. Googled him and he might have transitioned into acting, can’t tell if it’s him.

I thought of three names: the first was Carlos Newton, mentioned first; the second was Rosi Sexton, who I thought wouldn’t be mentioned but was; and the last is Leigh Remedios - since you know/have heard of Rosi, I’m guessing you might know Leigh as well.

If we are talking fighters who use their intelligence to master strategy and win and achieve their goals then It’s obviously GSP. He was brilliant in his preparation.
A lot of you conflate educated with intelligence. Becoming a doctor has far more to do with the desire (,both you and your family) for you to excel in school than it does intelligence. There are some really dumb doctors out there.
What MMA Fighters all have in common is they wanted to be the best MMA fighter. Yet very few had the brilliance in preperation as Georges had.

Rich Franklin was a math teacher and I think has a masters of education in math.
We had a local fighter, I forgot his name, but he was doing MMA on the side while his actual career was chemical engineering.
