Nope. Talked to their support tech who couldn’t believe they sent a new ebox because “that has never fixed the problem”. Definitely still under warranty (i only put it on early in the new year) A whole new motor is on the way. Hopefully it works!

we ran into a cold front in Sioux Lookout - went down to 9 degrees. Shut the lake right off lol. We struggled. Got a couple but that was it

Back to Canada to fish is a once per year trip unfortunately. Around my parts there are not many lakes to fish. I need to figure out where some good fishing holes are where shore fishing is a possibility. I do not have a boat nor do I want one. I on occasion fish from the pier of Lake Michigan and have caught a few nice trout/salmon using spawn bags. And one could also get on a charter boat and fish the lake but in all honesty fishing for trout/salmon while trolling is BORING. And when there is a fish on one never experiences the true fight of a fish. It’s like reeling in rock. But this recent Canada trip has put the bug back in me!

Took my 80yo Vietnam vet uncle fishing last weekend.
He said it was going to be his last time in a river.
Only boat fishing for him from now on.
He took me fishing for the first time 30+ years ago.
Crazy full circle moment.

I would be standing in the river working a pocket, keep’n an eye on uncle, i’d trun to throw a few cast, look back, and that old man was anohter 50 yards down the river.

They feed on baitfish and can dive to 200ft. There’s a couple families on this lake and i could hear them freaking out at each other all morning. Amazing birds

My whole fuggin trolling motor came un mounted Thursday somehow trying to leisurely fish. Took me way too long to get back on the following day. Aint that some shit. Caught a few before the boat turned into fucking Nemo.
