I didnāt expect much out of Fritz as I donāt think clay is his specialty.
But a guy at his ranking should be getting through the first round.

Fonseca vs Herbert
Probably the most entertaining part of the match is Fonseca hitting the ball right between Herbertās leg @ 7:20.
Bad sportsmanship? Probably but I liked it.
I think it might have been retaliation for Herbert, although hard to tell if intentional, targeting Fonseca with a ball @ 2:30.

Alcaraz had a tough match. But heās always entertaining to watch.
His opponent looked pretty small, even Alcaraz kind of towered over him.
Guy played tough though.
the match lasted a lot longer than i thought it would. it almost went to a 5th set
Rune went to a 5th set.
Oddly, I thought he looked pretty good despite almost getting upset.
Djokovic looked really good today. Won in straight sets.
Also just caught the Draper vs Fonseco highlights.
Exciting matchup but not really surprising results.
Draper is just on a different level than Fonseco. Draper is probably the most dangerous player not named Sinner or Alcaraz.
Fonsecoās got a ways to go. Weāll see if he just needs a little time or turns out to be a bust.

Draper just keeps getting better. Hes going to compete with carlos and sinner for the too 3.
Sucks that all the matches start at 3 am now. So many i want to watch tomorrow.
Alcaraz just defeated Ben Shelton in four sets.
But Ben Shelton played well and showed he is capable of winning these type of matches down the road.
Looking at the stats, the difference may have been the return of serve.
Similar first service points but Alcaraz is more effective at winning second serve points.
the first set was very close, looks like alcaraz found a way to finish it out.
Ben looked very good against carlos.

I hate to quote myself.
Hopefully James is back around before the tournament is over but his guy Jack Draper just went out to Bublic.
Bublic killed Draper with drop shots.
Draper likes to camp on the baseline, similar to how Sinner usually plays.
You see Alcaraz use it against Sinner and now Bublic using it against Draper.
I still hope Draper decides to add in more drop shots and volleying to him game so that he doesnāt become too predictable.
Because he has the potential to win multiple grand slams.
